Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I join in solidarity with you in this struggle for marriage equality, the free expression of religion. No Church can declare another church as illegitimate. The Mass Wedding celebrated by the Christian United Church, Metropolitan Community Churches and other churches is a bold, prophetic and holy witness to God’s love for his children who are members of the Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Gay community.
We are committed to working with all Christians of goodwill seeking justice and proclaiming that in Christ, we are whole and complete. All people carry the divine image of God in all of us and we will treat every person with dignity and respect.
We urge the government and other religious institutions to respect that dignity and the right for everyone to be protected from any form of discrimination.
As followers of Jesus Christ, we will pray for justice, work for equality and proclaim God’s love for everyone. The Christian United Church stands with you always.

Something that the Roman Catholic Church – particularly in the Philippines – almost always forgets, but should always keep in mind.
