Message from the Present Interim Pastoral Leader of MCC Philippines, Pastor Edgardo Constantino on the Ordination of Rev. Elder Regen R. Luna

Pastor Edgardo Constantino, Interim Pastoral Leader MCCPhilippines

I joined MCC in 2000 with so much hesitation and questions regarding my affiliation with the church, coming from a Catholic turn Born Again Christian, I found myself facing with so much questions with regards to my Christian faith and my sexuality.  Until God sent Pastor Regen to MCC and through him and with his gift of ministry MCC and I greatly benefit from his ministry and teaching on the Bible Prophecy.  We have found it interesting, accurate, and relevant.  Now I can say that I am at peace with my spirituality and my sexuality.

Having Pastor Regen with us I suddenly found myself learning through his teaching and preaching, I can say that he is prepared for battle, not just for MCC and CUC but for the GLBT Community as well.  MCC and CUC will be working together for the GLBT and I am thankful that MCC found a TEAM.  What we can’t do alone, we can do together, consider Ecclesiastes 4:9 “Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor.”  Being in MCC for over 11 years has taught me many things, but nothing as more important that having a TEAM working for the kingdom.

It has been refreshing and reassuring to have Pastor Regen in our community. I am never alone in the battle, never alone in the trenches, never alone in the victory.  He’s voice is sharp in the face of the enemy, tender in the presence of God’s people.  He’s armor is not shiny and new for he has been tested in the heat of battle.  Trusted and revered friend, confidant, warrior, watchman, and a covenant keeper may well describe this person.  May God contine to richly use this powerful and dynamic person to expand His Kingdom.  By engaging with and embracing his ministry, you will do well.  You will do better.  You will be blessed.

Congratulations and may God continue to bless you always!

In Christ’s Service,

Pastor Edgardo N. Constantino

Message from the Former Interim Pastoral Leader of MCC Philippines, Pastor Lino Tan Lee on the Ordination of Rev. Elder Regen R. Luna

Pastor Lino Tan Lee, Interim Pastoral Leader MCCPhilippines

A man full of wisdom, an influential leader, an enthusiastic preacher.  These are, to name a few, the qualities that we look for in a pastor or a church leader.  But these qualities are not enough to describe Pastor Regen Luna.

A man with conviction, a good musician, a down-to-earth person with a kind heart and firm decision with Bible as his expertise, Pastor Regen got what it takes to become a full-pledge pastor.

During his short term as IPL of MCC Philippines, he has proven his self through his unique way of leadership.  With him as the worship leader, one would really feel the presence of the Holy Spirit working during fellowship.  With his preaching and words of wisdom during homily, the listener would not only be enlightened but also become well educated with the words of God, which is a factor to strengthen ones faith.

In order to achieve my deepest respect, he has demonstrated outstanding leadership and maintained a clear sense of purpose.  It is for these reasons that I offer high recommendations for Pastor Regen Luna without reservation.  His drive and abilities will truly be an asset to the church.

In Christ I remain,

Pastor Lino Tan Lee

Interim Pastoral Leader, MCC Philippines

Ptr. Regen Luna invited to speak at MCC Philippines’ Retreat

Ptr. Regen prays for the new Board of Directors of MCC Philippines at the Retreat in Pansol, Laguna, Philippines.

Ptr. Regen Luna was invited to speak at the retreat of the Metropolitan Community Church Philippines last September 25 and 26 in Pansol, Laguna.  His topic was “Homosexuality is not a sin and not a sickness”.  The talk was well received by the leaders and the participants.  It was also highlighted by group reports about the different verses used by other churches to attack homosexuals and also an open forum where Pastor Regen answered the questions about the rainbow colors, the symbol of the cross, the signing of the cross, the use of images in worship, ecumenism, and the Holy Kiss of peace.

The retreat will have a follow-through activity this coming November.  The leaders and members of MCC Philippines extends their congratulatory message for Pastor Regen on the official announcement of H.E. Rev. Bishop David Strong on his appointment as local pastor for CUC and candidate for ordination as an Elder in Full connection with the denomination.  God is doing marvelous works.  Praise God!!!
